Coach Bettie was a high school gymnast at Cascade High School in Everett WA and has continued involvement with gymnastics and dance over the last 30 years coaching everything from club teams to volunteering on military posts to provide gymnastics and dance classes for family service centers. Coach Bettie credits her technical side of coaching to the time spent coaching for Bulgarian Olympian Stoyan Deltchev and his partner Aneta Damianova, and Soviet Gymnasts Oleg and Lena Dimitriev. Coach Kibala learned importance of maintaining the joy of gymnastics from her high school days with Coach Dinnetz and Club coach Derick Moellenbeck. After 20 years of living in Reno NV coach Bettie says it was a happy accident that she ended up volunteering at Roosevelt High School coaching the Roughriders.
Coach Walior is a 1st year Assistant Coach for the Roughriders. She is a UW Alumni graduating from the Foster School of Business - (Accounting) and is a former member of the UW Gymnastics Team. Coach Walior' s credits and accomplishments in gymnastic during her club years and into her NCAA competitive years are amazing and include PAC 10 Bar championship, representing UW at Nationals in Floor Exercise being a team captain in her senior year. Coach Sam in a gifted athlete, a fantastic choreographer and a shinning example of the results of hard work commitment and accountibility. We are lucky to have Sam!!
Coach Whisler is a 1st year Assistant Coach and a former Roughrider Gymnast. Coach Zoey served as a Captain in her senior year at Roosevelt and competed Bars, Beam and Floor Exercise. She is currently attending University of Washington and is in the Honors Program. We look forward to Coach Zoey returning for our summer camp programs and coaching for her second year 2012-2013 Season.
